Editorial Review Team
Tax.pk is maintained by developers and researchers who understand how to read Pakistani tax legislation.
About the Team
We aren't a firm of tax lawyers or accountants. We are researchers who dig into the official FBR Gazette notifications, Circulars, and the Income Tax Ordinance. When the government releases new tax laws, we read the primary documents, extract the mathematical formulas, and write the code that powers the calculators on this site. We test the calculations extensively to make sure they match the FBR's rules exactly.
Our Editorial Process
1Research Process
We don't rely on secondary news sources or blogs for tax bracket formulas. We isolate the primary legal documents passed by the National Assembly and extract the exact legal text governing Salaried and Non-Salaried individuals.
2Review Standards
Once mathematical formulas are derived from the legal text, they are peer-reviewed internally. We run thousands of automated edge-case test calculations—especially focusing on the boundary values between tax slabs—to ensure 100% mathematical accuracy before updating our public tools.
3Sources Used
We exclusively utilize official government sources, primarily the Annual Finance Act published in the official Gazette of Pakistan, and official Circulars and SROs published directly on the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) web portal (fbr.gov.pk).
4Update Policy
Our core calculation engines are updated strictly when new laws take effect (typically following the annual Federal Budget in June/July). Guides and written content are reviewed quarterly to ensure no outdated procedures remain on the site.
